This day we take utmost privilege in cordially welcoming you to experience and explore the holistic delight of Jammu and Kashmir- the heaven on earth. After getting luggage at the airport we proceed to check in at our hotel in Srinagar. Srinagar is the largest city and the summer capital of the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. It lies in the Kashmir Valley on the banks of the Jhelum River, a tributary of the Indus, and Dal and Anchar lakes. The city is known for its natural environment, gardens, waterfronts and houseboats. Later take a walk around, and feel the surroundings of Dal Lake and do local sightseeing covering the famous Mughal Gardens Nishat Bagh “Abode of Pleasure on the shore of the Dal Lake”, Shalimar Bagh “Abode of Love built by Jahangir for his wife Empress Noor Jehan”, and Cheshma Shahi. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel in Srinagar.
After having breakfast proceed to Gulmarg, the Meadow of Flowers, 2730 mts above sea level Gulmarg offers spectacular views of snow capped mountain peaks, conifer forests and green meadows; it is home to the highest 18 hole golf course of the world. It’s a famous Hill station of Jammu & Kashmir and is known for its salubrious beauty and charm. The route is full of Pine trees, Deodars, Amaltas, and Kikkar trees flanking the mountain side. It is known for Ski –Resort and The world’s highest 18 –hole Golf course. You can also enjoy GONDOLA RIDE/ CABLE CAR RIDE (at your own cost). It can take you up to the height of 16, 000 ft. above sea level and will mesmerize you with the glaciers of Khilanmerg and Afarwat. A word of caution, it is cold there so brace yourself with warm clothes and accessories. If you have a knack for winter sports then you could buckle up for snow skiing, sledging, snow bikes and ATV bikes. In the evening drive back to Srinagar. After having breakfast checkout from the hotel and proceed towards Pahalgam Situated at the confluence of the streams flowing from Sheshnag Lake and the Lidder River, Pahalgam (2,130 m) was once a humble shepherd’s village with breathtaking views. Enroute visiting Saffron fields, Awantipura ruins (1100 yrs old temple of Lord Vishnu built by King Awantivarman), see the beautiful countryside on the way and a lot of rice fields. Drive through pine forests. Now it is Kashmir’s premier resort, cool even during the height of summer when the maximum temperature does not exceed 25°C. Have bridle walks and feed your cameras with the picture of magnificent view of mountains. Later drive towards Betaab Valley, Aru Valley & Chandanwari (at your own cost – only cars operated by locals are allowed). Witness the striking beauty of mountains. Enjoy walking around Aru Village. A walk along the Lidder stream towards Pahalgam from Aru Village is very highly recommended for Nature Lovers. In the evening drive back to Srinagar and check in at Houseboat and proceed for Shikara Ride; this ride is one of the most soothing, restful aspects of a holiday in Jammu and Kashmir. Visit to floating gardens (raadh) is yet another wonderful experience. A cluster of Lotus flowers amidst the lake is a heavenly sight. In the evening drive back to Srinagar. After having breakfast proceed towards Doodhpathri, which means valley of milk. It’s a famous hill station which lies in the bowl-shaped valley in the Pir Panjal range of the Himalayas. There the lush green grass over the vast meadows and silver shining streams having milky appearance from the distance running over the large stones further increase its beauty. The natural meadows which are covered in snow in winter, allows to grow wildflowers such as Daisies, Forge/Me/Nots, and Butter cups during spring and summer. In the evening drive back to Srinagar. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel in Srinagar.
After having breakfast checkout from the hotel proceed towards Sonamarg (Golden Meadow). Sonamarg lies in Sindh Valley streamed with flowers and surrounded by mountains. Sonamarg is also the base for some interesting treks to the high altitude of Himalayan Lakes. You will gasp in wonderment at the golden light that glints from the snow-capped peaks when lazy sun rays fall on them. Enjoy horse riding up to Thajiwas glacier and sledge riding on snow (on direct payment).In the evening drive back to Srinagar.
