Trek begins with spectacular views as we follow a hiking trail through beautiful pine forests, pristine pastures, and the beautiful meadow of Shekdur. Our first glimpse of alpine beauty. Camp at Nichnai.
Day 3: Nichnai → Vishansar Lake
Elevation: 11,500 ft to 12,000 ft
Distance: 12 km (6–7 hrs)
Cross the Nichnai Pass (13,100 ft) and descend approximately 600 ft into a valley with green pastures and awesome rivers. Camp beside the amazing Vishansar Lake!
Day 4: Vishansar → Krishansar → Gadsar
Elevation: 12,000 ft to 12,500 ft
Distance: 14 km (7–8 hrs)
Cross Gadsar Pass (13,800 ft — highest elevation of the trek) with breathtaking views of Vishansar and Krishansar lakes. Trek down to Gadsar Lake — This area is famous for wildflowers.
Day 5: Gadsar → Satsar Lakes
Elevation: 12,500 ft
Distance: 10 km (6–7 hrs)
Trek through high ridges, streams, and meadows where we will see the cluster of seven alpine lakes called the Satsar.
Day 6: Satsar → Gangbal & Nundkol Lakes
Elevation: 12,000 ft
Distance: 11 km (6–7 hrs) Right: 13,400 ft (~4,075 m). The junction of human trails at Zaj Pass gives us panoramic views of the Himalayas. During our descent to the twin lakes of Gangbal and Nundkol, we will arrive at the beautiful base of Mount Harmukh.
Day 7: Gangbal → Naranag → Srinagar
Altitude: 12,000 ft to 7,450 ft
Distance: 15 km (7 hrs trek) + 2 hrs drive
Final descent through pine forests to Naranag village. Drive back to Srinagar with Travelogear Holidays.
